MAKING TRACKS 4

August 2024 saw another successful visit to Chester Cathedral for Pete Waterman and his Rail nuts team with Making Tracks 4 which attracted 39,232 visitors with 4,014 members of the public having the experience of driving trains on the layout. Making Tracks 4, this year featuring Watford Junction railway station, continues to raise the profile of the hobby and help inspire people to get involved in model railways.

Having the opportunity to run our Class 60 samples on Making Tracks has provided us with invaluable running as part of the test and evaluation procedure within the development process of the project.

Our thanks to Pete Waterman, Chris Clenton, Phil Moreton and the Railnuts team for their continued support.

It is always nice to see a model alongside the prototype, here is the Cavalex 56098 with the real locomotive.

Our thanks to GBRf for their help and support with our Class 56 project and to UKRL at Leicester for allowing us to visit their depot for this event.

During the visit to Leicester it was nice to see some of the staff involved in painting both 56098 and 56081. Thank you to Tony Middleton, Drew Ciupek and Jamie Green.

Also our thanks to Rob Reedman for allowing us to use his superb photos on the box for our GBRf Farewell Railtour twin pack.
