From day one of starting Cavalex, we have set out to produce the most detailed models we can through innovation and a taking different approach to traditional manufacturing techniques. The PHA/JGA bogie hopper wagon is no different, having a wealth of detail on the underframe. Our first Engineering Prototype sample really shows how this detail has been replicated on our model just like the real thing - come and see the samples for yourself over the weekend at the Great Electric Train Show!
The first Engineering Prototype samples of our PHA/JGA bogie hopper wagons have arrived and these will be on display at The Great Electric Train Show this weekend. If you are attending the show then please visit our stand to view the samples and say hello.

A big thank you to Andrew Walker for allowing us to post this excellent photo showing the contrasting cab styles of Romaninan 56020 and Doncaster built 56069 at Toton in 1988. Capturing this stark contrast between the different builds was one of the main reasons we chose the grid. Thanks to all that have shown support to our project.
From day 1 we have set out to innovate and push forward the RTR models we are producing. Not only with innovations never seen before on our BBA/PGA wagons, we want to raise the bar on factory weathering. Whilst it has taken longer than we would have liked to achieve the finish, we are really happy to showcase the weathered TEA and KBA pre production samples. Produced by multiple layers of tampo printing, using slightly different colours and tones; we feel we have achieved an authentic weathered finish.
We’re looking forward to showing off more photos next week - as well as the Total grey TEAs
Pre-order price of £42.50 - second payments due by 08/09/2021, with production set to start in September.
All new orders after 08/08/2021 will be required to be paid in full due to the proximity to production. (Full price £45)
